King’s Lynn completed a comeback from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Buxton on Tuesday night.
Oliver Greaves was slipped into the area for the first chance of the game and got a shot away under pressure, but it was saved.
Moments later at the other end, Gold Omotayo was driving towards goal before being brought down by Connor Kirby, who received the first yellow card of the game.
In the 15th minute, the ball fell kindly to Tom Wilson from a corner, but he fired high over the bar.
The high tempo continued as a sharp passing move from the home side forced Joe Young into a save at his near post after a strike from Reece Hall-Johnson.
Buxton took the lead in the 29th minute when Tai Sodje held the ball up well and slipped it through to Greaves, who lifted it over the keeper for 1-0.
They carried this momentum into the second half, with Cian Coleman twisting and turning in the area before his effort was saved, and Greaves’ follow-up was pushed behind.
Coleman doubled the advantage in the 52nd minute after being picked out by Sammy Robinson, calmly placing his finish into the bottom left corner.
But straight from the restart, the home side responded, Hall-Johnson wrong-footing the keeper to pull it back to 2-1.
Within five minutes they were level. A free kick into the area saw Adam Marriott strike the post, and Tom Dickens reacted quickest to turn the rebound in.
The Linnets completed the comeback in the 73rd minute following a swift counterattack, with Morgan Williams delivering a cross for Marriott to head into the net.
Hall-Johnson almost repeated the move soon after, finding Marriott again, but this time the striker couldn’t find the target.
A late penalty shout for the Bucks was waved away when Sodje went down in the area after breaking in behind, but the referee allowed play to continue.
It rounded off a difficult afternoon for the Bucks, who saw their two-goal advantage slip away as they fell to a fifth defeat in six games.
