UP NEXT:
Buxton are in FA Trophy action this weekend as they host Southport in the second round on Saturday, 15 November 2025, with kick-off at 3pm.
The Bucks
It was a third consecutive defeat for Buxton on Tuesday night as they fell to a 3–0 loss against Bedford.
After a goalless first half in which the Bucks controlled much of the possession, Bedford struck after the break, with Sam Brown opening the scoring before Tyrone Marsh added a brace to seal the victory.
Reflecting on the performance, manager John McGrath said:
“Tonight just not good enough. Not good enough from start to finish in a game that we dominated first half possession wise but I’m sick of those stats.
We had 23 crosses in the game and we have three or four shots on target which is not good enough and that’s not blaming the centre forwards, it’s a collective. Tai Sodje is up top on his own, he’s starved of any decent possession.
But individual errors tonight was criminal, absolutely criminal. The lead up to the first goal, there are four or five, six lads that can do better. The second goal, George can do better and it’s an uphill battle.
But too many people had off days today and probably Connor Kirby, Tate Campbell from the starters, you could probably say did enough. I thought Cian Coleman when he came on injected a bit of energy to us.
Apart from that, a really bad night at the office.”

Last time they faced
You don’t have to go back far as these sides faced off a week and a half ago where Southport came out 2-1 winners with Luke Brennan getting Buxton’s only goal.
