An exciting one‑day pop‑up exhibition is coming to Chesterfield, celebrating the town’s creativity and community spirit.
Taking place at King George V Park in Staveley, the event will showcase artwork created by children and young people, displayed alongside pieces from local artists, creatives and community groups. Hundreds of contributors have submitted work for the Arts Council funded exhibition, delivered by Chesterfield’s Cultural Education Partnership, Creative Revolution.
Organisers say the event offers a rare and inspiring opportunity for young people to see their work presented in a public setting, exhibited alongside artists from a wide range of artforms and community organisations.
Donna, from founding partner Growth Activities, said:
“We’re part of the Cultural Revolution Partnership because we believe every young person deserves access to great arts and culture, no matter where they grow up. Early creative experiences can spark confidence, widen horizons and open doors that might otherwise stay closed. For us, this partnership is about turning that belief into action. We hope the young people involved will remember this, feel proud of what they’ve created, and carry that legacy forward.”
Over the past six months, the partnership has delivered free, artist‑led workshops to more than 570 children across Chesterfield. Seven professional artists have worked with eight local schools and students from Chesterfield College, with several groups collaborating on larger pieces that will be unveiled at the exhibition.
The Pop‑Up Exhibition runs from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday 20th June 2026 at King George V Park, Staveley. The event is free to attend and offers fun for all the family, with live performances and artwork from local schools.
