A man has been jailed for three years after a man was left with a broken jaw following an attack at a bonfire event in the High Peak.

The incident occurred at the Dove Holes Village Hall on 4 November 2024, when a dispute about the placement of a ride took place between Nathaniel Bramhall and one of the organisers of the event.
After refusing to move the ride an argument ensued and Bramhall punched his victim, who was in his 40s, to the face. After falling to the ground, he then kicked the man several times.
Bramhall was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault.
The 33-year-old was charged in February 2025 with section 18 GBH with intent and was released on conditional police bail.
On 1 April 2026 Bramhall, of Hallsteads, Dove Holes, was jailed for three years and ordered to pay a surcharge of £228 at Derby Crown Court.
