The Great Chesterfield Feast set to bring new flavours to Chesterfield town centre this summer
A vibrant new event will bring fresh flavours to the town centre this summer when The Great Chesterfield Feast arrives in August – the latest announcement in this year’s exciting new events programme for the town.
Taking place on Saturday 1 August and Sunday 2 August, the free-to-attend festival will see New Square transformed into a bustling celebration of global flavours, sweet treats, craft drinks and unique handmade goods.
Across the weekend visitors will be able to enjoy live music, food from around the globe, artisan finds and family activities with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere – providing the perfect opportunity from families and friends to come together in Chesterfield.
Delivered by LSD Promotions in partnership with Chesterfield Borough Council, The Great Chesterfield Feast offers residents and visitors another great opportunity to enjoy the newly refurbished market space.
Councillor Kate Sarvent, Chesterfield Borough Council’s cabinet member for town centres and visitor economy, said: “We’re really looking forward to the Great Chesterfield Feast taking place in the town centre. It’s the perfect event to get the whole family together during the summer to try out some new culinary delights, join in with fun family activities, browse the artisan goods, and also take the opportunity to support our local retailers, eateries and pubs
“After the brilliant response to the Glow Up event in March, we hope to see lots of people and families coming together to enjoy another new event in the heart of Chesterfield following the completion of the refurbishment of New Square and Market Square.
“We love seeing so many people come together to enjoy what our transformed town centre has to offer – this is another great example of the kind of vibrant community events our fantastic news spaces were designed to host.”

The event will run from 10am to 7pm on Saturday 1 August, and from 10am to 5pm on Sunday 2 August. Dogs are also welcome to attend but must be kept on a lead at all times.
