Buxton were held to a 1–1 draw last time out against league leaders South Shields.
The visitors opened the scoring through Dan Ward, before Adreil Walker struck late on to level the scoreline.
Reflecting on the performance, manager John McGrath said:
“I thought it was a really good game of football. If you were a neutral today, it was a great game of football to come and watch. I thought we got it spot on with our press. Really proud of the boys. I thought it was a really good performance from them.”
Buxton have made a signing ahead of this game announcing Tristan Gill on a one month loan deal from Derby County. He can play both left back and centre back.

The 23 year old forward signed in the summer and is the clubs top goalscorer this season with 6 goals in the National League North.
He has featured in the National League North for both Farsley Celtic and Hereford.
In his youth career he was at Aston Villa until he left the club in 2023.
