The Bucks
At the weekend, Buxton won 2-1 away at Chorley, making it three consecutive victories on the road.
Reflecting on the game, manager John McGrath said:
“The pitch was really poor which was obviously conducive to either side playing. But it’s a tough place to come Chorley and to back up the away performance on Tuesday at Darlington the lads have grown again. After going a goal behind I thought we were superb second half.
Really disappointed to go a goal down because it’s stuff we had worked on all week. But we should’ve gone a goal ahead and the rest of the first half we had some really good chances. I wasn’t too worried going in at halftime, I thought if we can galvanise get the ball to our front three I thought they would cause problems.
It’s a great ball in from Trueman to JJ and good play round the corner for Cian and it’s Cian’s forte really it’s an exceptionally good finish.
Then again great play from Douglas to put JJ in and this time he makes it count, it’s a really cool composed finish and it turns out to be a winner.”
