Matlock Town suffered a 2-1 defeat on the road at North Ferriby.
The Gladiators conceded when Josh Thacker delivered a shot into the bottom corner after stealing the ball from the Gladiators in the final third.
Diego De Girolamo was sent off for two bookable offences for Adam Clayton’s side and the home side took advantage when Thacker add his and his team’s second goal with a super strike from 20 yards out.
The home side then conceded a penalty and Cameron Wilson converted from 12 yards to give Matlock hope.
Sam Aynsley was also given a second yellow card late on for the home side and both teams were down to ten men.
Despite their best efforts Matlock couldn’t find an equaliser.
