Man charged with attempted murder after Riddings assault

A man has been charged with the alleged attempted murder of a woman after an assault in Riddings.

Police were called at 1.20am on Sunday 18 February, to a report that a woman had been assaulted at a flat in Greenhill Lane, Riddings.

At the scene the woman, who was in her 20s, was found with serious injuries and was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was last night charged with attempted murder.

Kain Tailby, of Greenhill Lane, Riddings, has been remanded in police custody and is due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ this morning (21 February).
