Chesterfield were held at home to Gillingham after a late goal rescued a point for the visitors.
Josh Koroma put the home side ahead before Ronan Hale equalised just before the hour-mark.
Dilan Markanday and Lee Bonis threatened for the hosts early on, the former testing Ollie Wright with a long-range effort which was saved by the keeper, while Bonis shot across the face of goal.
Just a few minutes after having a goal-bound shot blocked, Koroma scored a 22nd minute opener, showing great composure before his shot hit the back of the net.
Wright twice denied Markanday towards the end of the half, first making a good low save and then tipping over a superb long-range effort from the winger.
Chesterfield’s Kyle McFadzean put a close-range effort inches wide before the visitors drew level in the 58th minute, Hale pouncing on a defensive lapse from Jack Simpson, shrugging off the defender before beating Ryan Boot with a deflected shot.
