National League North: Bedford Town 3–0 Buxton
Buxton endured a difficult evening in the National League North as they fell to a 3–0 defeat away at Bedford Town. Despite a competitive first-half display, John McGrath’s side were undone by three second-half goals as the hosts took full control after the break.
After a goalless opening 45 minutes, Bedford took the lead early in the second half when Sam Brown found the net in the 47th minute. The Bucks responded with intent, creating a couple of promising openings, but as they pushed forward, Bedford punished them on the counter. Tyrone Marsh struck twice late on — in the 77th and 85th minutes — to seal all three points for the home side.
For Buxton, it was a frustrating night in front of goal and a reminder of how costly small lapses can be at this level. Despite moments of quality and plenty of effort, the Bucks couldn’t find a breakthrough, and attention will now turn to regrouping ahead of their next fixture.
