North Derbyshire residents warned about the dangers of the water by the RNLI.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) with the support of Her Majesty’s (HM) Coastguard have launched a water safety campaign as a new study reveals around 35 million people from across the UK will visit the coast. In a survey commissioned by the RNLI, 85% of the UK adult population (aged 16-64) expect to visit

Historic Matlock bridge closed to all traffic from Monday 13 June until early August.

Matlock Bridge will be closed to all traffic (pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles) from 7am on Monday 13 June 2022 until early August 2022 to enable preparations for essential flood prevention work to be carried out. The next stage of work is to alter the road in order to temporarily allow 2-way traffic over Matlock Bridge.
