Alfreton Town suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to AFC Fylde in National League North.
The visitors scored the only goal of the game when Luca Thomas cut inside and fired a super shot into the bottom corner.
The Lancashire side held firm for the remainder of the match, absorbing pressure and managing the game expertly to protect their slender lead. Alfreton’s inability to respond – especially in the final third – proved costly as they dropped valuable home points in their ongoing league campaign.
