Jake Buxton’s Alfreton Town were knocked out of the FA Trophy after a penalty shootout at Alvechurch.
Mark Beck on 9 minutes and Bayley McCann on 13 minutes gave the home side a 2-0 lead but Alfreton fought back and levelled through Jonny Ngandu on 57 minutes and Emmanuel Illesanmi on 66 minutes.
The game then went to spot kicks and the home side ended up winning the tie 4-1
Alfreton will now turn their attentions to league action on Tuesday night as Southport visit the North Derbyshire side in the National League North
