Chesterfield Market will be buzzing with music and award-winning street food this summer as Peddler Market returns to the town for two weekend events.
Now regeneration works have been completed the popular street food market will be returning to New Square from 27 to 28 June and from 29 to 30 August – expect to find a great selection of street food traders, music, craft drinks and a selection of unique market stalls.
Jordan Roberts, Co-Founder of Peddler Market said: “We’re so happy to be planning events in Chesterfield again, especially in the newly developed square. It was so busy last time and our traders haven’t stopped asking when they can come back. We’ll be bringing some of our top traders with us to create the Peddler vibe that will make you want to hang out all day.”
The last Peddler Market events held in 2023 and 2024 saw thousands of people visit across each weekend providing more footfall and sales for lots of businesses based across the town centre.
Councillor Kate Sarvent, Chesterfield Borough Council’s cabinet member for town centres and visitor economy, said: “The Peddler Market events in 2023 and 2024 were really popular and I’m delighted that we can welcome them back to the town this year now that our works in New Square are complete. I hope lots of people will come out to show their support for these great events.
“We’ve got lots planned this summer and I can’t wait to see people enjoying themselves in our revitalised town centre.”
The Peddler Market events will run alongside Chesterfield Borough Council’s general market on Saturdays and alongside the Chesterfield Artisan Market on Sundays.
