Anyone interested in taking part can fill in the survey online
A drop-in session will also be held at The Springs Shopping Centre in Buxton, on Friday 6 February from 10am until 4pm, where local people can talk to council officers about their experiences of using the junction and what they think should be done to improve it.
Councillor Carol Wood, our Cabinet Member for Net Zero and Environment, said:
“This busy junction is used by many local residents every day and is the first impression visitors approaching the town from the A6 experience as they travel into Buxton town centre.
“It serves as an important entrance to the town and we want to know what people who use it would like to see done to improve it.
“Please give us your feedback by taking a few moments to fill in our survey.”
Responses to the survey will be used to put together proposals for how the junction might be improved in the future. If firm proposals are drawn up, a formal public consultation would be needed to give local people the opportunity to comment before any improvements were made.
Paper copies of the survey are also available at Derbyshire libraries in Buxton, Tideswell and Bakewell as well as from our mobile library bus.
The closing date for comments is 20 February 2026.
