Buxton are looking to bounce back as they host Worksop Town at the Silverlands on 17 November, with a 3pm kickoff.
Last Game
A first‑half penalty proved the difference as Buxton fell to a 1–0 defeat away at King’s Lynn last weekend.

Injury Update
Earlier this week Jordan Broadbent provided an update on the injury situation at the club.
Gui Siqueira
“It is a bad injury for Gui, but it’s not as bad as we thought at the time. There was a lot of emotion Saturday and a lot of thoughts in and around Gui and his welfare, as he’s come off a bad injury last season with his Achilles, which he did playing for me at our previous club.
To see him going down in that last minute was quite an emotional time for us all really — Gui especially, and then me in that moment, as he’s a player I care a lot about.
The scan results have come back more positive than we first thought, which is really good, and he’s still going to be out for a long time, but it’s not as bad as we first thought, which is a real improvement.”
Sammy Robinson
“You can definitely tell Sammy is back in the squad. You can definitely tell when Sammy Robinson is back in the training group.
I think we have missed Sammy not just for his playing ability, but for what he’s like around the group. He’s got natural leadership qualities in him. He’s a personality in the group away from the pitch as well, and he brings really good energy to the group.”
Devlan Moses
“And Dev was on international duty the last two games, and he was actually ill across the course of that two‑week period that he wasn’t with us, so he wasn’t really fit to start.”
Derbyshire Senior Cup
This week, the draw for Round Two of the Derbyshire Senior Cup took place, with The Bucks being drawn away to Belper United.

Jordan Broadbent
Reflecting on the game against King’s Lynn, Broadbent said:
“I think there was two sides to the game. The positive side is defensively I thought we were very good; we limited them to little and few opportunities.
But on the flip side they did the same to us. We didn’t create enough, we weren’t good enough in the final third. We know that as a group, we haven’t scored in the last couple of games and we know we need to address that.
We want to be a front foot attacking side, so last Saturday in the final third we probably weren’t at our best. But I thought defensively we were very solid, and it was just one moment that changed the game.”
Opposition Facts – Worksop Town

The club often cites 1861 as its year of origin, a date that would rank it as one of football’s true pioneers. With no surviving records to support the claim, however, it remains firmly in the “contested history” category.
In the years following the First World War, Worksop Town Athletic emerged as a fresh start for football in the area. The “Athletic” tag soon disappeared, and the club settled into simply being Worksop Town.
Their strongest FA Cup run arrived in the 1955–56 season, when they reached the third round before losing 1–0 to Swindon Town.
Across the FA Trophy, the club has twice reached the quarterfinals, first in 2000–01 and again in 2005–06.
Meanwhile, their FA Vase highlight came in the 2014–15 season, when they progressed to the Fourth Round.
Nicknamed The Tigers, the club’s crest features the wild cat. They play at The KC Sofas Stadium, which has a capacity of 3,400, including 627 seated.
The away side is managed by Craig Parry, who took charge six years ago. After an eighth‑place finish and a Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup win in his first full season, Parry guided the Tigers to a record‑setting campaign as they won the NPL East. The following year brought a playoff semi final defeat to Macclesfield in the NPL Premier Division, but another Senior Cup triumph. A season later, they completed a double with both the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup and the NPL Premier Division playoffs, earning promotion.
Last season, the Tigers finished 17th in the National League North, collecting 57 points.
This season’s home kit is yellow with black tiger stripes, while the away kit is a deep navy blue. Their third kit is white with subtle pinstripes.
On the current five‑game form guide, they sit seventh, having accumulated 9 points.
Most recently, they won 2–1 against Morecambe after goals from Kian Barratt and Oliver Greaves.
They are placed 15th in the league, on 15 points after 11 matches.
Former Bucks
Oliver Greaves joined The Tigers following his second spell with The Bucks in February this year.
This summer, he was joined by two more ex‑Buxton players, with Max Dearnley and Ryan Viggars making the move to Nottinghamshire.

One to watch -Aleksandrs Starcenko
A centre midfielder from Latvia 🇱🇻, Starcenko joined The Tigers in October 2020.
Previously, he came through the academy at Guiseley and went on to play for Hyde United, Frickley Athletic and Pontefract Collieries.
In the season that Worksop got promotion to the National League North, he was a key player and managed to score 21 goals.
His only goal so far this season came as a winner when Worksop beat Telford 2–1.
Head to Head
Over the last five meetings, both sides have won two games each, with one draw. Recent form favours The Bucks, who are unbeaten in the last three match‑ups.
The most recent meeting came in April, when Buxton won 2–1 after goals from Connor Kirby and Max Bardell, before Aaron Martin scored a late consolation.
Last time at The Silverlands, Luke Brennan gave the home side the lead from the penalty spot before George Ward doubled it. Martin pulled a goal back, but loanee Adriel Walker secured the three points in late December last year.
