A judge has quashed a developer’s bid to strip a beloved former Derbyshire allotments site of protection in the interest of the community. Brian Newton, the owner of the former Starkholmes Allotments site, on the outskirts of Matlock, took Derbyshire Dales District Council to a first-tier tribunal over the future of the plot. The council
