Woman suffers broken leg during assault in Holmewood

Police are investigating an assault in Holmewood, near Chesterfield, which left a woman with a broken leg.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, was assaulted by a group of people in Hunloke Road, Holmewood, after being assaulted in the rear car park of the Miner’s Welfare in Heath Road.

The victim was left with a badly broken leg, as well as injuries to her face due to the assaults, which are believed to have taken place between 11.45pm on Sunday 3 July and 12.25am the following day.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incidents. They also want to hear from anyone with CCTV that covers the area around the Miner’s Welfare and Hunloke Road.
