The Queen Consort will wear an existing crown at the Coronation

That’s according to Buckingham Palace

The Queen Consort will wear an existing crown at the Coronation rather than a newly commissioned piece for the first time in recent history, Buckingham Palace said.

Queen Mary’s Crown has been moved from display at the Tower of London to be reset with the Cullinan III, IV and V diamonds, in a tribute to the late Queen who had them in her personal collection and often wore them as brooches.

Meanwhile, St Edward’s Crown, which will be used for the coronation of the King, has returned to public display at the Tower following modification work.
