Police appeal for witnesses after Chesterfield robbery.

Derbyshire Police would like to hear from anyone who may have information about an attempted robbery which happened in Brimington on Saturday.

At around 3pm, a 37-year-old man went to withdraw cash from an ATM outside the Co-op store in High Street.

Shortly after this he was approached by a man who threatened him and demanded money. The man then followed the victim along Church Street and as far as Chesterfield Road, repeatedly making threats along the way.

He is described as white, of stocky build with short brown hair. He was wearing a cream jacket, dark-coloured jogging bottoms and slider sandals.

The victim was walking his dog at the time of the incident.
