Plenty of Covid breaches in Derbyshire.

Breaches in Covid 19 regulations have meant a large number of people in Derbyshire paying out thousands of pounds

Figures show 17 people had unpaid £200 fines increased by up to nine times as much

The penalties were mostly where defendants had friends at their properties during the lockdown

A Ministry of Justice spokesperson says magistrates consider a range of factors reaching a decision including the seriousness of the offence, the plea, financial circumstances and prosecution evidence.
