North Derbyshire Radio Senior Sports Editor Matthew Rhodes spoke recently to Alan Lau from The Frank Soo Foundation.
Frank was born in Buxton and was the first person of colour to represent England’s football team at senior level.
Sadly, Frank never received an official England cap in his lifetime as his 9 appearances for England all came during wartime games between 1942-45 that are not deemed official international matches by the FA.
