High Peak pub scoops top prize.

A High Peak pub is set to scoop a top award.

The Blind Bull at Little Hucklow notched up the Refurbishment award in the Campaign for Real Ale’s Pub Design Awards

Presented with Historic England, they celebrate newly built pubs or those which have undergone conversions

Despite history dating it back to the 12th century, the pub fell on hard times and had to shut its doors in 2005

Now after failed attempts to convert it for other uses, a Hathersage designer has helped to bring it back to its former glory for current owners since 2018.

A man has sustained a broken jaw after an assault in Ripley in the early hours of Sunday 1 August. The 45-year-old man was walking in Grosvenor Road at about 4am, when he and his friend struck up a conversation with two other men.
