“A Derbyshire salon owner has been crowned Midlands Hairdresser of the Year.
Tracey Ann Smith, owner of French & Ivi in Belper, was given the accolade at the Hairdresser’s Journal awards at a glittering ceremony on London’s Park Lane.
To get through to the finals, Tracey had to hand in a portfolio of images showcasing her hairdressing skills and techniques, which she was judged on by a panel of award winning and established hairdressers.
Commenting on the win, Tracey said, “I am absolutely delighted. This achievement means so much to me, especially considering that I was nominated for the same award last year. Winning it this year is a dream come true and a testament to the hard work and passion I put into my work.”
