Self-catering breaks are now open for overnight stays in England and Wales and staycation providers across the country have reported record-breaking bookings.

Derbyshire tourist destinations have proved to be very popular and there’s plenty of other options for those people looking to get away as we get closer to more places being open and more restrictions being lifted as we move forward post pandemic.

Travel writer Simon Calder spoke to North Derbyshire Radio and told us where people are looking to get away – and which places are left for those yet to lock in that summer break.

Free Chesterfield cancer treatment transport service launched

A new transport service has been launched to provide people from Chesterfield with free, safe travel to Sheffield hospitals for cancer treatment.
