Derbyshire Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Ambergate where a driver allegedly failed to stop at the scene.

Officers were called to Ripley Road, near the Hurt Arms, at around 7pm on Wednesday 7 July, following reports that a cyclist had been involved in a collision with a white Ford Ranger.

It is alleged that the Ford then drove off along the A6.

The cyclist – a man in his 50s – suffered a broken collar bone. Several passers-by stopped to help him.
