Arrest following reports of a stabbing in South Normanton.

A man has been arrested following an incident where a man was reportedly stabbed in South Normanton.

Police were called to Market Street just before 12.30am this morning (Friday 17 September) to a man who was injured in the street.

Officers attended the scene along with ambulance crews, and he was taken to hospital. It is not thought at this time his injuries are serious.

A man was arrested by officers on Lathkill Drive shortly after the report and is currently in police custody.

Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident, but an investigation is ongoing.
