An investigation is ongoing after a man suffered serious injuries in Holmewood late last night (Wednesday 5 April).
Police were called by ambulance crews following reports of a serious assault on Dickens Drive just before 10.40pm.
The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
A 57-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in police custody.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident and at this time there is not thought to be any wider risk to the public.
