A man from Staveley who was found to have downloaded indecent images and videos featuring children, despite having a previous conviction, has been jailed.

Ashley Walker, of Inkersall Road, pleaded guilty to two counts of making indecent images of children and one of possessing extreme pornographic images.
Officers seized two phones from the 38-year-old during routine checks in September 2020 as he was being monitored due to two previous similar convictions.
They discovered horrific images and videos featuring child abuse, rape and animal abuse.
Walker was sentenced to 14 months imprisonment, with an extended three-year licence period, during a hearing at Derby Crown Court on Thursday 19 May.
He was also put under a fresh Sexual Harm Prevention Order for life.
Detective Constable Sally Garcia, of our Public Protection Unit said: “Ashley Walker was being closely monitored due to previous offending and it was through this monitoring that this came to light.
“Behind every indecent image or video is a vulnerable victim and this type of crime is completely unacceptable. We are pleased with this sentence as it puts Walker behind bars and keeps our community safe.
“Safeguarding children online is a priority for us, and we will do everything in our power to bring offenders to justice.”
