A Dan Cowan goal on 17 minutes was enough for Buxton to secure a vital 3 points and the bragging rights in the A6 Derby. Steve Cunningham’s side have pretty much secured promotion and the Northern Premier League Premier Division title as they sit 3 points clear of South Shields with a vastly superior goal difference.
The defeat for Matlock Town means they have to wait and need a result in their final game against Warrington Town to confirm their spot in the end of season play offs.
